STUDIO WHEN

The narrative of frame

“Studio when” proceeds with timepiece projects called “50000 clock projects, ” a project that has come up with the joke “Let’s make 50,000 pieces of clocks!”. Each of the pieces is one-in-a-million and handcrafted by daily experiments based on form & material study. “Studio when” designs new interactions between users and the timepieces by considering tiny parts with their sophisticated measures, putting various textures on them, and harmonizing every single part together.

“The narrative of frame” is a new series of “50000 clock projects”, exclusively designed for the DDW. Each of the timepieces tells its own story about “time in our daily lives.”

Our new series “The narrative of frame” shows how we think about time in our daily lives by telling various stories about the clock through a real clock, which may break the patterns of ordinary clock design. By capturing a clock in a clock with warm-hearted narratives, we hope people could reminisce about the time before Covid and get set for the common and peaceful daily lives we used to live.
